Newcastle sand is fine washed sand that has been cleaned and does not contain impurities. It is ideal for tiling and rendering or can be swept in the gaps after laying pavers. It can also suitable for use in children’s sandpits. This sand may also be known as beach sand, sydney sand or sharp sand.

Coarse sand has a wide range of applications. Builders use this sand with aggregate and cement to make concrete. As a compactable product it is ideal for bedding paving and laying the first course of blocks. Coarse sand is also good in landscaping projects to improve drainage. We also have two brickie’s sands available. Depending on the mortar colour you require you can purchase either white or yellow. We recommend using off white cement when mixing mortar as you will get a purer colour in your finished work. Brickie’s sand can also be called fatty sand or brick layers loam.
