Existence of dampness can cause deterioration and failure of building materials.
Masonry mortar joints may decay and break apart and dampness in timber will cause it to rot. In addition moisture will encourage mould and mildew in porous materials such as veneer stone.
The inside of retaining walls can be especially at risk due to the movement of ground water and constant contact with damp earth. To combat these detrimental effects, waterproofing membranes should be applied to surfaces that are at risk.
Duram 195 HV is a proven liquid polyurethane waterproofing membrane. It cures to form a tough, flexible, “rubber-like” and seamless waterproofer, suitable for UV exposure. Typical applications include roofs, gutters, retaining walls, planter boxes, landscaped areas. It is suitable for both above and below ground applications.
Pond Seal is a polyurethane / acrylic co-polymer, water based coating which when fully cured, forms an impervious and flexible waterproofing membrane. Pondseal will enhance the look of the pond or water feature. It is non-toxic and formulated to be suitable for use with fish and plants. Pondseal is used for the waterproofing of ponds, water features, bird baths, fountains and terracotta pots.
Primeseal is a versatile two-part, water based coating suitable for most types of porous and semi-porous surfaces. Primeseal is an excellent universal primer for all Duram waterproofing membranes, anti-slip coatings, paints and coatings. It has excellent bonding properties to most substrates and assists in the prevention of water vapour transmission from the substrate thereby minimising the risk of bubbles forming underneath membranes. Primeseal is recommended to use as the primer for Pond Seal.
